BenchFly’s Scientist Homepage Challenge
by
Today we’re incredibly excited to kick-off our Scientist Homepage Challenge! There are no good reasons scientists shouldn’t have a web presence and the great folks over at flavors.me agree. We’re working together to enable scientists to create beautiful homepages and to reward the crowd favorites with a full year of premium services at flavors.me. It only takes a few minutes, so during your next incubation, follow these three easy steps and join The Challenge!
.
.
.
The Challenge: Use flavors.me to create the best-looking personal homepage of any scientist
The Prize: The top five reader favorites will win Premium account upgrades for an entire year at flavors.me!
.
.
Step 1. Create a homepage on flavors.me
Head over to flavors.me and within minutes – literally – you can set up a professional website (for free!) that connects to all of the various websites you may use across the web (Facebook, Twitter, Lab, BenchFly!…).
.
.
.
.
Step 2. Submit your homepage on this blog post
Simply add the domain name of your new homepage as a comment to this post on BenchFly and we’ll do the rest! Check-in frequently to see the gallery of homepages made by other scientists.
NOTE: flavors.me homepages will have the following domain name structure: http://flavors.me/yourname. Upgraded accounts allow users to use their personal domain name instead. If you already have an upgraded flavors.me account, you’re still eligible to win another year of service! Homepages must be created using flavors.me to be eligible for this challenge. Click here to see a complete list of the benefits of account upgrades (aka, The Prize!).
.
.
.
.
Step 3. Vote for your favorites
On March 16, 2011 we’ll open up voting for the finalists here on BenchFly. The top five vote earners over the next week (Challenge ends March 23, 2011) will be awarded a one year upgrade to a premium flavors.me account!
.
.
.
.
.
So get started, you’ve got a homepage to make!
