Best. Cashews. Ever. (Is That Rosemary?)
by
‘Tis the season of holiday parties and get-togethers. Therefore, ’tis also the season of figuring out what to bring or serve that is unique, inexpensive and easy but will make a great impression. Luckily – unless you’re allergic – you’ve just found your dish.
.
Enough with the chit-chat, you’ve got a party to get ready for.

Is that…Rosemary? Roasted Cashews
Ingredients
- 20 oz cashew nuts
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 Tablespoon melted butter
- 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, leaves removed and chopped
.
Procedure
Phase 1: Roast Cashews
- Spread nuts on an ungreased baking sheet
- Bake in oven (350°F) for 10-12 min
- While nuts are warm, mix kosher salt, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and melted butter in bowl
.
Phase 2: Dress Cashews
- Toss warm nuts in bowl with salt and pepper mixture
- After evenly coating nuts, add rosemary and serve
.
Although the cashews are delicious served warm, they’re also excellent at room temperature so they’ll travel well.
