Why Do Your New Year’s Resolutions Fail?

Happy New Year and welcome back! It’s Monday morning and the holiday season is now officially in the rear view window. The crowded airports, the family fun and the blistering New Year’s day hangover are now all a thing of the past. However, somewhere between the first glass of champagne and Auld Lang Syne we probably made a few resolutions that “this year we’re going to stick with…”
We certainly don’t want to be a dream-killer, but we know where most of those resolutions end up… the resolution graveyard. (Think:
“get in shape”, “read more”, “stay in better touch with friends”… the list goes on.) Whether it takes six days or six months, there’s a very good chance you’ll be making the same resolution next year.
Which brings us to the real question- not what is your resolution, but why did it fail?
